Join the Mayor, The Chair of the Parish Council and Parish Councillors to celebrate the opening of the newly refurbished play area in Great Holm (in the Park at the bottom of Petworth by the junction of Dansteeed Way H4 and Watling Street V4).

Dress up as your favourite character from Toad of Toad Hall and come along and enjoy the fun in the park !

This new play area is a good example of a constructive partnership between Parishes and MK Council where £50,000 of external funding has been brought in and a total of £70,000 invested to achieve a big improvement of local facilities - one that will make a significant difference to local people especially families with children.

The new herbaceous flower bed on the Great Holm Lakeview Green, is now planted!

Great Holm Picnic on the Green and Bake Off Event, 3rd July 2016

Over 60 picnickers enjoyed the sunshine, fun and games on Sunday - and helped to raise over £130 for Charity. Hollywood Cine Supplies provided free popcorn throughout the day which was enjoyed by everyone.

The Bake Off was a great success -with delicious cakes and cookies - beautifully decorated too. Many thanks to Sainsbury's who not only judged the competition but donated the prizes too!

Raffle prizes were very kindly donated by Kam Tong Garden, The Kensington and The Great Holm Co-Op.

The Parks Trust were on hand to explain how to feed the birds (especially the ducks) safely and distributed bird food. Many thanks to The Neighbourhood Police Team, who in addition to registering all the bikes brought to the picnic, also provided great photo opportunities for picnickers who were photographed in handcuffs in the back of the van!

We collected over 50 sicks of litter on Saturday, March 5th, across Loughton and Great Holm and found (amongst other things) a set of folding doors; a TV set; a car battery and a fire extinguisher! We also managed to clean some street signs along the way.

Thank you to everyone who came along, we couldn't have done it without you!

Thank you too for the support and help from: Milton Keynes Council and their contractors Serco & Ringway who provided litter pickers, gloves and High visibility vests; Loughton & Great Holm Parish Council; Turners Nurseries; mkONE news; The Citizen and Thames Valley Police.
